My name is Osbert Munkombwe Kasokola. I was born on 1st January 1981 in Silukwiya village chief Macha in Choma district. Am born in the family of eight (8) with me being the seventh born.
I grew up and did my primary school in chief Singani of the same district staying with our third born elder brother from 1990 to 1999. My brother could not afford paying for me during my secondary School because of lack of money. During the school term of January-April 1999, I did not go to school for the whole term because he depended on farming and maize was by then not ready for sell.
This made me to move to Macha in the same year and continued with my grade nine at Frances Davidson secondary School. In Macha I stayed with my mother and stepfather who started paying for my education. In 2000 when I was in grade ten (10), I was privileged to meet with my real father who we didn’t know each other because they separated with my mother before I was born. However, my father didn’t do much with my education because he could not afford, as we knew each other on his declining period in farming.
To raise my school fees, my mother used to do traditional medicine business specifically for women. She used to take medicines to Livingstone (provincial centre) and exchanged with cloths, which she later sold in Macha or exchanged with farming produce. My stepfather is a retired teacher and small-scale farmer and contributed greatest to my education through his retirement salary and sometimes after selling maize. I used to do photographing and taking chickens to
Lusaka for sell during weekend to raise money for my education. Am the only educated person in the entire family of eight.
I completed school at Frances Davidson and stayed in Macha later stayed for 1 and half years. I attempted go to college in June 2004 to study Information Technology (IMIS) for six months. My family could not manage to pay for my first semester examination fees and I therefore stopped my course.
In February 2005, I joined LinkNet and started learning computer hardware. I continued excelling in LinkNet and worked as computer technician in different fields. In 2007 I did a computer technician course (A+) at LinkNet Training Academy.
I marriage my dear wife in 2007 and now life with two children.
I have no good professional qualification but have hope that with God and well-wisher help, I dream to go school and Business Administration specifically in Project Management as my professional career and future my knowledge within field of interest.
